Living Empowered | Beyond the Veil
BEYOND THE VEIL
Living Empowered
The physical world is temporary.
The spiritual world is eternal.
There is more happening than what we can see. There is an unseen realm that is real, active, and all around us.
2 Corinthians 4:18 (NIV) 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Matthew 28:18-20 (ESV) 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

3 STEPS TO LIVING EMPOWERED:
1.) Surrender to God.
James 4:7 (ESV) 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Romans 12:1 (ESV) 1I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.
Authority begins with surrender.
The more you are under God’s authority, the more you walk in His authority.

2.) Close any open doors.
Ephesians 4:27 (ESV) 27Give no opportunity to the devil.
Ephesians 4:27 (NIV) 27 and do not give the devil a foothold.
2 Corinthians 2:10–11 (NIV) 10 Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven, if there was anything to forgive, I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, 11 in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.
Sometimes the issue isn’t a lack of authority, it’s access we’ve allowed.
Open doors can look like:
- Unforgiveness
- Sin patterns
- Compromise
- Lies we believe
What we allow, we empower.
You can’t ask God to remove what you’re still allowing.

3.) Confront the enemy.
James 4:7b (ESV) 7Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Luke 10:19 (ESV) 19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.
Matthew 4:10 (ESV) 10 Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, Satan! For it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.”
We are not called to:
- Ignore the enemy
- Fear the enemy
We are called to stand and resist.
You don’t have to tolerate what Jesus has already defeated.
3 WALK-AWAY TRUTHS:
Stay surrendered daily.
This is not a one-time moment, it’s a lifestyle.
Luke 9:23 (ESV) 23 And he said to all, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.
Daily surrender leads to daily strength.
Stay spiritually clean and aware.
Keep short accounts with God.
1 John 1:9 (ESV) 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Freedom flows where doors are closed.
Stay bold in your authority.
Speak truth, pray boldly, stand firm.
Ephesians 6:13 (NIV) 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
You don’t fight for victory, you fight from it.
