Ep 17: The Real Reason You Feel Spiritually Exhausted

April 29, 2026

A lot of times we feel like we are fighting for our spiritual lives, but we end up completely exhausted and defeated. We ask God to remove the friction and the frustration, but what if the issue isn't a lack of authority? What if the issue is the access we've allowed the enemy to have?

In the final episode of our "Beyond the Veil" series, Pastor Rodney Thrift and Bryan Evans sit down to discuss how to live empowered every single day. We unpack the devastating wildfires in our community, why surrendering to God means giving up your schedule (not just your heart), and how to stop giving the enemy a "foothold" in your life.

If you are tired of living on defense, this episode provides a literal, practical blueprint to stay spiritually clean, close open doors, and fight from a place of victory.

The 3-Step Daily Rhythm to Live Empowered:

  • Morning (Surrender & Align): Before you check your phone, surrender your thoughts and decisions to God's authority. Say: "Lord, I place my schedule under Your authority today."

  • Noon (Check & Close Doors): Pause and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any open doors (bad attitudes, unforgiveness, compromise). Repent and close them quickly.

  • Night (Stand & Declare): Before bed, reject fear and lies out loud. Stand in your authority and remind the enemy who you belong to.

In this episode, we cover:

  • Community Updates: A heart-to-heart and prayer for our region following the recent devastating forest fires.

  • The "Soma": Why Romans 12 isn't just about offering your physical body, but surrendering your schedule, habits, and decisions.

  • The Cutting Room Floor: A deep dive into the Greek word "Topos" (foothold) and why the veil didn't just open a door, it relocated the presence of God.

  • Closing Doors: Why you can't ask God to remove what you are still allowing in your life.
